Captain Candidates
Abby Carlisle, Sarah Connolly, Allison Lanners, Molly McPhail, Maddy Grace Sporl
Hey SM Cheer! I’m Abby and I would love to be one of your cheer captains for the 2022 fall season! I’ve been on St. Marks cheer since I was a freshman and have loved it ever since! I’ve also been a dancer for 13 years. I’m experienced in choreographing and teaching for hockadance so I definitely think I can make us all look clean and sharp during our pep rallies and halftime performances next year. I also have some great ideas for jump variations and stunts that I have gathered over the past 3 years as well! Btw I’m pretty skilled at Garage Band so i think i can make us some pretty great pep rally mixes too. Not only do I want to make our performances a masterpiece but I also want to make sure we continue our SM Cheer traditions along with starting some new ones as well. Let’s make this season the best one yet! Go lions! 💛💙
Hey y’all I’m Sarah! I would love to be one of your captains this season! I’ve been on the team since freshman year and have loved every minute of it. Since I’ve been on the team for four years, I’ve seen all the ups and downs when it comes to leading the team. I think this will help me to keep the team on track and be productive when at practice, while also having a fun time while doing it! In the past years, I have seen how much hard work pays off, so I am going to work really hard on creating new and creative stunts, fun dances, unique formations that the fans will love! Being on this team has created memories that I will cherish forever, and I hope that this next year I can help to create great memories for y’all by being one of your captains! Go Lions!!
Hey team!! I’m Allison, and I would love to be one of your captains this coming season! This will be my fourth year on St. Mark’s Cheer, and I love it so much! When I made the team as an 8th grader, I was beyond excited, and I knew I wanted to be captain when I saw the captains leading and bringing the team together. When I was young, my favorite thing to do with friends was to choreograph dances, so I started taking hip hop classes. This year, I want to make new, fun, and exciting dances for us to perform. I will lead by example, and I am very approachable. I hope to make everyone feel comfortable sharing their ideas. Also, I want to wow the crowd at pep rally’s and games, and I know y’all want that too! Being on this cheer team has been an amazing experience, and I want to make everyone feel the same. I hope you consider me as one of your captains! GO LIONS!!!
Hey everyone!! I’m Molly McPhail, and I would love to be one of your cheer captains this season! I’ve been on the team since freshman year, so I have a lot of experience with all things SM cheer! I’ve also danced for eight years and participated in powerhouse cheer from ages 10-12, so I guess you could say I’ve always known I was a cheerleader. As your captain, I would use these experiences to make this year our best ever! I have so many fun ideas to add to our routines to make them stand out and show off our skills. I also have a lot of stunting and choreography experience, so you know the squad will be in good hands. Team bonding is also really important to me, so I’d be sure to make plenty of opportunities for that. I’m also super approachable and very open to hearing your ideas! Being a St. Marks cheerleader has meant so much to me these past three years, and I’d love the opportunity to be your captain this season! Go Lions!!🦁💙💛
Hey y’all! My name is Maddy Grace and I would love to be one of your SM Cheer Captains for this upcoming season. This will be my 4th year on cheer and let’s just say my lion pride has only gone up. I bring ten-plus years of competitive dance and cheer as experience to the team. As a leader, I believe I’d bring enthusiasm, dedication, and open-mindedness. Of course, I love cheer so I can let the enthusiasm speak for itself. Secondly, I am dedicated to creating jaw dropping routines by making sure to incorporate everyone’s strengths into them. And finally as a leader it is important to consider everyone’s opinions before making a decision, and I plan on practicing that when making routines and sideline dances. I hope y’all vote for me in order to make it another great year as a cheerleader, Go Lions!
